New Orleans is known for their great musicians and influential sounds, but every musician needs somewhere to spread that sound. Welcome to Peaches Record Store.

Known for working with record labels such as Cash Money Records, Peaches Record Store has been around since the 1970s. In the store, it not only sells vinyls, but also CD’s, clothing, and other artist paraphernalia. It's known for its love of music, people, and culture. It has since then supported both local artists, and world renowned artists.
Sherani Rea: “We started the store in 1975 'cause we had such a love for music, and for our musicians locally. And we felt responsible, and wanted to do something nice for them. We have remained here doing this-helping the local musicians out anyway we can. And also artists, and anyone with talent. Authors, you know, painters; anyone that has any talent we try to help them.”
After moving from uptown to the French Quarter, Peaches has moved to Magazine St., where they are now residing in the old Woolworth building. There resides the historical landmark of the Woolworth counter.
*music*
Peaches Record Store also helps with local outreaches to help the community.
